I need information on the Alphonzo L. Blackwell family (mother Frances), born 1830 in NC, moved to Cherokee County, Alabama where he was in the 1850 census. Wife was Mary Elizabeth (?) who was born in Georgia in 1830 and appeared in the 1860 & 1870 Census in Alabama.

Info is needed also on their children, ALL born in Cherokee County, Alabama, appearing in the 1860 & 1870 Census there.

Sarah J. Blackwell, born in Cherokee County, Al. 1853.
Perry Walker Blackwell, born in 1855, my Great-grandfather, a preacher, who later moved to Oklahoma where he died in 1930.
John L. Blackwell, born 1857
Sara C. Blackwell, born 1858
Daniel Blackwell, born 1860
Albert C. Blackwell, born 1862
Mary E. Blackwell, born 1864
Lula Blackwell, born 1866 (may have died in Alabama in 1931)
William Blackwell, born 1870
I have no further information on any of these except on my great-grandfather Perry.

Perry W. and wife Margaret Ida Clifton Blackwell had four sons: My grandfather William Pierce, twins Otis P. & Lotus B. (O.P. & L. B.)who were born April 21,1883. Joyce Clifton (J. C.) was born in 1889. Other than my grandfather, I know nothing about the other three brothers other than O. P. became a preacher and had a wife Lila. Perry W. died at Otis's home in Buffalo, Oklahoma in 1930 and was buried beside his wife Margaret Ida in Woodward, Oklahoma.

Any information will be greatly appreciated and I will be happy to respond in kind to any inquiry. I will have much more information available soon.
