I am at this point mainly researching the ancestors on my mother's side of the family.This includes, among others, the Vance, Shores, Horne, Park(e), Crosby, Abbott, Dix, and Dawson families.
In the main line back from my grandfather, Alden Vernon Vance of Danville, VT, I have gotten as far back as James Vance, born in Londonderry, NH in 1769.James married Hannah Abbott of Dracut, MA.
At some point I may actually get to researching my natural father's side of the family, the Black's of New Jersey.
