HEAVER MEEK

Updated April 15, 2006

This site is for everyone in our family and all of our friends.

It has been created for and dedicated to my grandmother and grandfather:

ELAINE VALIERE BERRESFORD AND CHARLES WILLIAM MEEK.

We lovingly called them "BUMMY" and "PAPPY."

I am in the process of building this site. Please bear with me while I fine tune things. So, surf at your own risk.

Living individuals: Your names only will appear. No current personal data (ie. birth date, place of birth, etc.) will be displayed. All personal information will be retained off line in a private data base.

Although, I would love to post your favorite childhood photo and one recent photo for each person. If anyone has any military photos, I definitely want those ! Please send close-ups (for clarity) if possible.

* If you would rather your information not appear at all on this web site, contact me and you will be deleted immediately.*

E-MAIL ME YOUR FAMILY INFORMATION SO THAT I MAY GET IT ENTERED.

INFORMATION SUCH AS:
1. Birth date, Place of Birth, County of Birth
2. Spouse's name and data (and spouse's parents names)
3. Children's names and data
4. Photos - 2 per person: 1 childhood, 1 recent
E-mail them to me at my e-mail address.

You are welcome to copy anything that you wish from this site. However, please be sure to copy all notes within each file due to the importance of the source information.

Since there are currently 986 people, 339 marriages and 9,780 text documents on our genealogy data, undoubtedly, there will be some errors. We have a total of 15 generations. To give you an example,John I, Martindale, born in 1615, is my 10th Great Grandfather.

Also, details provided via oral history is sometimes unable to be proven factual. For example, we called our grandmother, Bummy. I plan to get an old greeting card with her signature so that we can prove this oral history to be in fact true.

If you have a problem or question, please ask. If you know an answer, please share. If you have material to contribute, please forward it. This will ensure that our family history is preserved with as accurate information as possible.

This website would NEVER exist if it were not for Sherri Sprecksel, Mary McAndrew and Cindy Blevins. I can not imagine the numerous years and tireless work that they have invested into this genealogy. All initial data was submitted by these three woman. Our Martindale data was completed by Sherri and our Heaver data was completed by Mary. All of the Blevins data was completed by Cindy.

Since then,I created our home page, have gathered census reports, documents, photos, etc. and have greatly expanded the data. I will continue to expand, daily, whenever possible.

A "thank you" would never be enough to express my gratitude. From all of our Family....our hats off to you! Your efforts will be enjoyed for many generations to come.

Before you get lost surfing: FIRST -- Please sign the guest book at the bottom of the page.
