Jacob's dates are from Dr. Harrison Hoppes, probably from Lycoming County death Records at Pennsylvania State Archives, Harrisburg, PA

Lycoming Co. Deed Book 71, 587: on April 22, 1874, children of Jacob Hoppes sell land inherited from mother. Mary Jane and Ellen record the deed.

Harold S. Kibbe ( a descendant ) tells that when Mary Jane was 12 years old her father (step father) took the family on a wagon pulled by oxen up Plunkett's Creek to settle and build a sawmill.
