Updated February 24, 2009

Barnet Blumberg was born circa 1866 and came to the United States from Bielsk Podlaski, Poland, in July, 1890. His parents were Abraham Blumberg and Rebecca Kaplan. Barnet married Jennie Laskowitz, born 1869 in the area of Vilna (Vishnauer?). Her parents were Isidor Laskowitz and Rachel Leah (?).

Isidore Adus arrived in the US at the age of 5 years old in 1910. His parents were Hyman Adus and Mary (Miri) Rits. Mary was from Drissa, Belarus. Isidore was born in Dvinsk (Daugavpils), Latvia. He married Ethel (Etla) Himelfarb, born 1904, in Kolky, Ukraine. Her parents were David Himmelfarb and Ida (Scheindel) Kippelman.

Towns being researched include: Bielsk Podlaski, Poland; Kolky, Ukraine; Kovel, Ukraine; Vilna, Lithuania; Dvinsk, Latvia; and Drissa, Belarus.

I am seeking contact with the descendants of the following specific people: Max and Lena Blumberg and their daughter Rose, and Bery and Ethel Himmelfarb.

Please visit the individual family web sites below for more information. I am happy to share the information that I have and would be happy to receive new information on family relationships.
