The Family and Ancestors of Dennis G. Boatright

I am researching both my maternal(HEUSTON)and paternal(BOATRIGHT) lineages and have developed considerable data for each. (See WFT Vol. 1, Pedigree #0495).
My "BOAT(W)RIGHT" line begins in Virginia in mid-1700's and moves to Kentucky in the early 1800's. My great-grandfather, John Waller Boatwright, migrated from Madison Co., Kentucky to northern Missouri, to Kansas and later to Oklahoma. My grandfather, Robert Guy Boatright was a businessman in Cushing, Oklahoma for almost 50 years.

My mother's father, D.A.Heuston, moved from Nebraska to Oklahoma as a teen-ager in 1893. His father, E.T. Heuston, had attempted to homestead in Nebraska after growing up in Jefferson Co., Iowa. His ancestors were "Huston's" from the Burlington, NJ area.

  ET Heuston was the grandfather of Opal {Heuston) Boatright. He homesteaded in Chase Co., NE soon after marrying Sarah Helen Ingham in 1875. He moved his family from Nebraska to Lincoln Co., OK in mid-1890's. He served as a delegate to the Oklahoma state constitution convention.

  Helen Sarah Ingham was born in Washington County, Iowa, January 28, 1852, where she taught school as a young woman. She was married Edmond T. Heuston of Libertyville, Iowa, in 1875.
