Updated April 12, 2002

This work was done over 40 years of research. Many hours was spend on the phone, going to Counties in seven different states.
Spending countless hours poring over County records and traveling to countless Cemeteries.

The recordes going back from myself to Thomas Bobbitt 1783-1859 were gotten from family members. I know they are correct.

The other information came mostly from the Bobbitt Book by William Bobbitt of Washington D.C. Published in 1985, this book should be considred by all as the Bible for our family.

My work started at the funreal of the only Grandfather I ever knew, Geroge Edward Cox 1876-1962. I ask my mother who his father was and she said "I'll tell you about him, but it would be best if you looked it up your self.

That started my research into three families, the Cox (my Mothers family), the Bobbitts (my Fathers family, and then the Combs ( my wives family).

All my research has come to a stop now, April, 2002 due to health problems. I will tidy up some loose ends. Put this all out on the Internet and print a few books that will be delivered to some County Libraries. They will be copywrited as there will be color pictures in them and that cost me many dollars.

I will not send a copy to the Large Genealogy Libraries. The reason being, they except eveything with out verifing the information. Even when I have shown them proff of something wrong, they say they can not change it, Thats OK but they do not need my work.

This was done with the love of family and family history, it is for my children and their childrens, children. I know one of them will keep it going.

As my e-mail signature says:

Max from Ohio the Buckeye nut.
