Notes for Max Lincoln Bobbitt: BIOGRAPHY Max started to work at the National Cash Register Co in Dayton Ohio in Nov. of 1953. He started to date a woman by the name of Nellie and would each day walk to the other end of the work place to talk to her, each day a group of four girls that always ate lunch together would say, "There he goes to check in again". There came a day in late Dec. of 1953 that he turned to them and said "OK, you think I have to check in do you, well which one of you want to go out this Friday night". None of then said anything so he ask the pretties of the four "How about you, or do you just talk allot" She agreed to go to a drive-in movie. From then on I checked in with her. I worked not far from where she worked and the job I was required to use a air hose to blow oil and dirt off of small pieces. I would use the hose in short and long blast; everybody in the area could here it; until she would turn around and look at me then I would wink at her. The people got so that every time I went to the air hose they would holler at her to turn around. We started going steady, I took her down to her home in Ky., one weekend and in July of 1955 we married. As of this date Aug. 2001 it has been 46 years, two children with seven grand-children later. It all was her fault, she teased me, I showed her!!
We have traveled in all the States of the Union, and have been to Las Vegas many times, went to Niagara Falls on our honeymoon and returned so far seven times. Our travels have mostly been by the automobile, with many trips taking three weeks to more then a month. The places we have been and the sites we have seen are to many to mention. The places we have stayed in have been from pig sty to Hotel Suites.
