Valentine Bobowicz Family Home Page

I am researching the Bobowicz family name. The original Polish spelling of Bobowicz was Bobowiec prior to the Russia invasion.

My grandfather, Valentine Bobowicz was born December 21, 1877 in Rajah, Poland. His father was Peter Bobowicz, married to Frances Pitowarczyk. My grandfather's (Valentine) mother died when he was 3 years old. I do not know if he had any brothers or sisters. If Peter Bobowicz (Valentine's father) remarried, my grandfather (Valentine) could have half brothers or sisters.

My grandfather, Valentine, came to the United States in 1901, after 6 years in the Calvary Regiment in Poland.

On July 5, 1905 in St. Stanislaus Church, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, he married Helena Oleksiak, born November 01, 1888 in Poland. She was the daughter Adam Oleksiak and Anna Grodek.
