Ronald G. Dillon, age 56 years, passed away January 16, 2000 in his home in Essexville after a long bout with cancer. He was born November 11, 1943 in Cass City, MI and has resided in the Bay City area for the past eighteen years. Ron attended St. Agatha Elementary School in Gagetown, and then later graduated from Cass City High School. In 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and received training in the Medical Corps. He did a tour of active duty in Vietnam, where he was exposed to Agent Orange. Ron returned home in November of 1967 and he continued to serve in the Reserves until 1971. He attained the rank of E-5 and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. Ron was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Bay City; V.F.W. Post #485; and a life member of the D.A.V. Chapter #9 (Disabled American Veterans). Ron is survived by his mother, Beatrice S. Dillon and his sister, Deborah A. Bohan of Weston, FL; his identical twin brother, Donald R. Dillon of Bay City; a brother, Russell Dillon of Des Plaines, IL; nine nieces and nephews; twenty- three great nieces and nephews; along with three great-great nieces and nephews. His father, Edward J. Dillon and a brother, Edward P. Dillon, preceded him in death. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or services at this time. Graveside services, with Military Rites, are tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 5, 2000 at St. Agatha Cemetery, Gagetown, where Ron's cremains will be interred. Memorial contributions in Ron's name may be directed to the American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Parish, Bay City. Arrangements entrusted to the W.A. Trahan Funeral Chapel, Bay City. W. A.
