This is a picture of my great grandfather Rev. John Wesley Boland at age 55. He was a Methodist Episcopal South Minister of the Gospel. He was a large and vigorous man who owned a large farm and Sawmill. He bought several large parcels of land and cut off the timber then sold the land for farms. He preached in Howard, Taylor County, GA and at The Old Midway Methodist Church which was loacted at the corner of the Bunea Vista Road and the Steammill Road in Muscogee County, GA.
