Find Family

I am researching several lines of my family, including the following major names:

BOREN - Elijah BOREN first appeared in Guilford County, NC records in 1796/7 when he married Phebe BEESON. Family verbal history says that he arrived from Nantucket, MA with one or two brothers (Jeremiah and Hezekiah). In around 1836, he moved with his family to Indiana, settling in the Wayne and Henry county area. I am researching all of his descendents.

BOON - Oliver BOON and his brother Anderson first appear in the 1850 census along with their mother, Elizabeth (HARMON)in Guilford County, NC. While I haven't yet been able to find the name of their father, I have determined he was a half brother of Lewis Seymour BOON who appears to be related either by blood or marriage (or both) to John BOON, who served in the Revolutionary War.

DUNDAS - The DUNDAS line first arrived in Guilford County from Ontario, Canada in the late 1800's. I have evidence that they came from Fermanaugh, Ireland to Canada around 1822.

BROUGHTON - My line of this family spent at least some time in Atlanta, Georgia around the turn of the century. My great grandfather, Joseph BROUGHTON, was a dentist who later in life became a southern Baptist minister. My great grandmother was Frances BRISCOE.

TAYLOR - The TAYLOR family lived in Edgecombe County, NC. I have not gathered much on this side yet. They are related to the BROWN line of Martin County, NC.

RANKIN & PRITCHETT - This is my current project. Names in this line include CLAPP, DICK, TROXLER, and LOWE of Guilford, NC.
