Ezekial was born in Wales and died in Isle of Wight Co., VA in 1738.
He witnessed a deed from Wm. and Elizabeth Fish to James Turner for 125 acres of land on the west side of Cocks Swamp in Isle of Wight Co. dated Feb. 22, 1730 (Isle of Wight Deed Bk. 4 , pg. 90) His will dated March 21, 1738/40 shows his name written as Zeakell Mathews. (Isle of Wight Will Bk. 4, pg. 305)
Both documents were signed by his mark.
