12. ABRAHAM⁵ LAMP (JOHANN GEORGE⁴, JOHANNES³, PETER², HINRICH¹) was born March 11, 1804 in Frederick, VA, USA, and died June 17, 1893 in Carmi, White, IL, USA. He married (1) NANCY STELLARS⁵ December 25, 1877 in White County, Illinois⁵. She was born Abt. 1806, and died October 12, 1889 in White, IL, USA. He married (2) JANE HESSON⁵ March 27, 1823 in Goshen Twp., Belmont, OH, USA, daughter of JOHN HESSON and JANE RADDON. She was born Abt. 1804 in OH, USA⁵, and died WFT Est. 1843-1899 in White, IL, USA⁵.

2. The following information was submitted by Ann Adams to Connie [Lamp] Richardson in Nov. 1993, and by Helen [Pilcher] Hall in July 1996--
Genealogy Room, Barnesville Library, Barnesville, OH, Helen Wallace:
"Abraham Lamp, the youngest child of George and Elizabeth was born 11 March
1804 in Frederick County, Virginia. On the 27th of March 1823 in Belmont
County he married Jane Hesson. Abraham and Jane lived near his parents. In
1838 [Johann] George Lamp, Sr. and Elizabeth deeded their land to Abraham in
return for his care of them. So there is no estate record. Abraham followed
his father's ways. In 1891 he deeded his land to his grandson Cephas Bingham.
So there is no estate record for him either. Abraham and his family migrated
to White County, Illinois sometime between 1850 and 1860. In 1856 there is a
record of Abraham buying land in White County. Abraham and Jane had seven
children. The four children who stayed in White County were Catherine, George,
John and Elizabeth. Isiah[sp] is buried in White County, but it is not certain
that he lived there. It is said that Asa migrated to Arkansas and Mathias to
Minnesota. Abraham's first wife died, and on Christmas Day 1877 he married his brother George's widow, Nancy Stellar Lamp. Abraham died 17 Jun 1893 . His obituary in 'The Carmi Courier' Tuesday, 22 Jun 1893, is as follows : 'Mr.
Abraham Lamp who died at his home in this township on Friday night last, was
one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of the county, being in
his ninetieth year. The funeral on Saturday was attended by a large gathering
of friends and relativies.' Abraham was a member of the Christian Church and is
buried in Bruce Chapel Cemetery."
