The Bost family started in Germany as Bast. Johannes came to PA in the early 1700's. The family moved to NC and the name was changed to Bost. Johannes sons fought in the Revolutionary War.

  Jeanne and I visited this church in August of 1998. It is believed to be the church were Johannes was christened 10 July 1721 before he came to the United States with his parents. It is located in Frankenthal just north of Ludwigshafen, Germany and south of Worms.
