We have traced our ancestors on my father's side to a Thomas Bottom, living in Virginia about 1630. We have found evidence that a John Bottom was living in Archur's Hoop (Hope), Virginia in 1623 to 1625, as his name appears on a muster of that date. We have not been able to make a connection between John Bottom and Thomas Bottom nor have we been able to verify how or when John Bottom arrived in Virginia. We will appreciate any help anyone may be able to provide in making that connection and will share any information we may have.
