| Welcome to the Bottles Family Tree. My name is Lawerence Leslie Bottles, I go by the name of Les. I have been compiling this information over the last two years,I would like to thank the following people for supplying me with some of their information which helped me in compiling this web site,Tom Wynne,Patricia Wilmott,Brian Hurst,,David Marsland, and Cheryl Fenn,Cheryl was of immense help nothing was a problem for her. Please, feel free to visit the site, and also if you have any information, such as missing names or birthdates and can help me update my own information, please contact me on my email address listed below. My Parents were Lawerence Roy Bottles and Doreen May Bottles ( nee Aberley ),my Grandparents were Alfred John Archie Bottles and Eva Bottles ( nee Hurst ),I have traced my ancestors on the Hurst side to a John Hurst born in 1460,so far I have only traced the Bottles name back to a James Bottle born 1822 married a Sarah Eastham, James parents were William & Betsy this is all I have on them. As for my Mother's side I have many gaps, I am at a stalemate with Pop Aberley's Father, all I have he was John Charles Aberley (John Charles was also known as Johann Karl Aberle, born in Germany in 1839,this is where I am at a stalemate, because I have no actual proof they were the same man,I cannot find any actual details of either name prior to 1894,when he was married)John Charles or Johann Karl married an Annie Colwill in Kaniva Victoria in 1894. My Pop, Alexander Leslie Emmanuel Aberley was born in Kaniva Victoria in 1901,he married Hilda Jean Baker, her parents were Tom Baker & Sarah Ann Cooper.Alexander enlisted in the Army at the age of 16 years and fought in the First World War,his army records show his true age was discovered at the front, and he was transferred back to a working party,I think this was to keep him safe, they probably didn't think it was a good idea to allow kids to fight. He also enlisted in the second World War,he received a letter from King George thanking him for his service to his country, this letter is proudly looked after by my cousin Warren Aberley. |
