2. JOHN WESLEY2 BOWEN (MARY ANNE1) was born March 27, 1862 in Little Brittain, Mariposa, Victoria County, Ontario, and died July 16, 1935 in Edmonton, Alberta. He married CATHERINE FLETCHER February 15, 1899 in Minnedosa, Manitoba, daughter of DUNCAN FLETCHER and ISABELLA NICHOL.

John and Catherine were married at her parent's residence by Rev. Isaac Newton Guthrie in the presence of their witnesses, George Brodie and Jennet Murray. In 1911, John moved the family to Edmonton, Alberta where he became prominent in the real estate business.
