Faye and Walter Joe Moore were divorced. She had Lupus for more than 30 years and probably kn ew as much as her doctor about the disease. She was always ready to counsel other Lupus pati ents at any time on how to live with it. She was in Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, MS. , on March 2, 1995 for treatment of fluid buildup caused by massive doses of Prednisone. sud denly she threw an embolus and died before anything could be done. Fay was devoted to her chu rch, and she and her second husband, Rodney Shows were leading activists in First Baptist Chu rch in Pascagoula. She had been on Oxygen for several years and would show up atd church wit h her Oxygen canister, prompting one member to remark that if Faye could walk, she would be a dt church!
