Notes for Martha Amanda Sisney:
Martha Amanda was a young widow with children when she married Caleb Petty in 1876. They lived in Ozark County, Missouri until 1881. They then moved to Barry County, Missouri, where they homesteaded 160 acres. When Isaac was about three, Caleb came down with pneumonia. When it looked like he would not recover from his illness, he asked his wife to make him a promise that he would be buried on his land. He died a few days later and Amanda kept her promise and buried him on his homestead.
