Currently in the process of researching my Wilson heritage; most recent location being from California...back to Michigan in 1888. Glenn Rex Wilson and wife Mabel Alberta Stoup/Wilson, recently both died in 1997: Glenn in April, and Mabel in October. This has strengthened my desire (Jeannie) to try even harder to research our Wilson line. The information is limited however, and I find it difficult to locate individuals prior to the birth of my great grandfather, Glenn Emerson Wilson born in Three Rivers, Michigan. His parents were James Knox Wilson and Caroline Alber. I have pictures of those two, with the Alber Family, but no information. I am guessing the date of the photo is about 1904 or so. There are also 'Talmage's' in the photo, as one of the Alber girls married a Talmage. So far I have not been able to come up with any hard evidence of Alber's or James Knox Wilson. But...my search continues, and prayerfully my efforts will be rewarded one day. Our family is one that is very loving to each other, and we have much compassion and affection for one another. We love hugs, and kisses, and spending time together, and closeness in our relationships. We love to keep in touch with each other, even though our busy lives limit us. A very close bunch of Wilson's, for sure. Three of the Wilson children, from a recent generation, were adopted by their step father when they were young.....they now being in their 30's. But it has not lessened our love for each other, or taken away from our family heritage. Our Grandfather and Grandmother, Glenn Rex and Mabel Wilson, made sure that they kept all close in touch with each other, and they took the time each and every year to come visit all of us, no matter what state we lived in! Of course, they loved to travel, so that made it easier for them, and blessed for US. They are greatly missed by the way! A few short years ago, we were all surprised with the addition of a new member in our family, though not new as in just being born! My Sister, whom I refer to, is only two years younger than myself, but I had no knowledge of her until 6 years ago! Our father, and her mother, had a short relationship, of which she was the result....and a blessed one at that! She too was adopted at an early age, but yet, God in His love and grace, put the desire in her to find us, her family, and with His guidance, she did find us! What a glorious that day was, when I first talked to her on the phone! We have been best friends since! The whole family welcomed her with open arms, and she is held with love in our hearts! We have several family members now, of course. All of us have families, and children now. Some of us have different 'Moms', because of divorce and remarriage, but that's ok. We still keep in touch, and love each other, and are close as well! I have a sister by my Mom and 'step-father' (whom I loved with all my heart by the way!), and she is very special to me too! She is as much a part of the 'Family' as any one else! Grandma and Grandpa included her in every thing, and that just showed how loving and special they were! My father, Uncles, Aunts, sisters, brothers, cousins...who are Wilsons....this is for you! God bless you each and every one! I love you with all my heart, and will continue to research our Wilson heritage for US. With much love, Jeannie
