Welcome to my home page for the Boyd family geneology.I began this project in April 2001 when my youngest son,Chris had questions about our family history.All I knew were the names of my maternal,and paternal granparents.Since then,through research and contributions made by various family members(many of them whom I found as a result of the research)there are now over 700 members of our family archived,and still growing!I welcome all to explore what has been discovered,and what others have contributed.If you have new information,or see a need for a correction,please contact me.I thank you all for your assistance,and guidance.And thank you Chris, for igniting the spark.   John was born and raised in Paris,TX.He served in the Navy at Guadelcanal,and was a Pharmacist Mate until his discharge in 1946.In 1946 John married Dell Ringgold,and moved to Minneapolis,Mn to be close to his older brother,Walter

  Motto: CONFIDO (Latin: I am confident) Said in 1263 by the King of Scotland to Sir Robert Boyd at the Battle of Largs, when leaving him in charge of an area to hold, signifying that the King had confidence in Sir Robert's ability to hold off the Norwegians.   The coat of arms could be displayed on the breastplate,or shield to signify loyalties to a family or sept.
• Emma Albertina ( Anderson ) Boyd (41 KB)
  This picture was found recently among newspaper clippings,and documents(mostly about Elberts time in the Army)going back to 1898.The picture was taken in 1891-92.
