| The patriarch of my BOYD line in Southwestern Pennsylvania is Benjamin Franklin BOYD. Born in Elizabeth Boro in Allegheny County 24 Dec 1829, he married Theolithia (?) who bore him six children: Anna, Benjamin, Lizzie, Charles, Susan and Fred. He died a widower in Dravosburg, PA 19 Jan 1892, and was buried in Elizabeth Cemetery, Elizabeth,PA. Benjamin was survived by seven brothers, none of whom I can identify by name. Sam Elliott was a ferryman and a pioneer of the town of McKeesport. He and his son Hezekiah "Ki" ran the ferry from McKeesport accross the Youghiogheny River to Port Vue long before railroads were in the area. Hezekiah's daughter Drusilla married Benjamin's son Benjamin. They were my paternal great grandparents. Mother's family was centered around Monongahela in Washington County PA.
