She was born September 25, 1808 in Baden, Germany, and died February 19, 1881 in LaPorte City, Black Hawk Co., IA.

Notes for JOHANN FREDERICK SCHEURER:
First to Herkimer County, New York. Moved to Will County, Illinois after
1846 and before 1867. Settled in Benton County, Iowa in 1867.
In the 1870 Federal Census, Bruce Twp., Benton County, a J. F.
Breunniesen, age 60, with his wife Mary and 6 children is found living
immediately adjacent to the farms of John M. "Shira" and Frederick
"Shira", our Scheurers. The birthplace of all members of the Breunniesen
family is shown as "Baden". The similarity of spelling and birthplace is
too coincidental -- J. F. Breunniesen must have been a brother or cousin
of Maria Eva, who was age 61 at the time. Further investigation needed!
