I have been doing research on my family for about 15 years, and every branch has taken me back to some place in Ireland--I have ancestors from Cork,Kerry, Donegal, Tyrone,Tipperary, Westmeath, Laois, and Dublin, and I really haven't started doing any major research in Ireland itself yet, so I could uncover other connections! The major US places my ancestors have settled are in Saratoga Springs, NY; North Adams, MA; Dorset, VT; Philadelphia, PA; Lambertville NJ; New Hope/Solebury/Lahaska PA;
Springfield MA, points west like Oneida County in Iowa, and in St. Catharines, Ontario.
