The family names I am researching include: WOLF/WOLFE, CLOSE, SEILICH, CARTER, CAIN/CAINE/HALL CAINE, LAMARCHE, BONNEAU, RUEL, and CHARPENTIER.
Presently, I have information on the LAMARCHE side as early as Julien BRICAULT [dit LAMARCHE], but I can not seem to find anything about him or his parents. I can't find anything on SEILICH, anywhere in the U.S. My G-G-Grandmother was Mary SEILICH who married John N. WOLF. They were both born in Germany and moved the the States after their son George WOLF was born November 09, 1881. I do not have a lot of information on these people, but if anyone out there does, please e-mail me! I would GREATLY appreciate the help!
The only CARTERs I have right now are Marie CARTER (m. George WOLF), who was born February 1884, and her parents John CARTER and Brigid/Briget O'CONNOR. Both parents were born somewhere in Co. Galway, Ireland, as well as Marie. If someone has any info concerning either parent, I would appreciate an e-mail. Thanks.
One other family name with which I'm running into problems is CAIN/CAINE/HALL CAINE. My Great-Aunt says I'm descended from Sir Thomas Henry HALL CAINE, but I just don't see it. I understand that HALL CAINEs and CAINES are Manx, so I guess I'll be e-mailing and writing to the Isle of Man for info on this family line. If this family name is familiar, e-mail me! Thanks.
I guess that's enough for now. I'll add more information later. Take a look at the JavaScript InterneTree to find other family lines and names I researching. If you find a name that is someone in YOUR family, we're related! (Distantly - maybe - but related!) But then we're all related in some way.
