I am currently researching the Boyd-Robertson family heritage. As far back as I have at this time is Robert Boyd-Robertson b:16 Mar 1877 (Scotland) d: 25 Sep 1924 (Kentucky).
He married Charlotte Echols Stanton b: 27 Aug 1867 (Kentucky)
d: 24 Sep 1931 (Kentucky).

Clan Boyd - We are direct decendents of the Boyds of Kilmarnock. Tradition has it that Law Castle was erected by the Boyds of Kilmarnock in about 1468. This was the height of their power when Thomas, Master of Boyd, later Earl of Arran, and son of Lord Robert Boyd, married the princess Mary, sister of King James III.

Robertson Clan - The Robertson Family is descended from on of the oldes families in the British Peerage. The first entry in their geneology is of Criman Lord of Atholl who was hereditary Lay Abbot of Dinkeld b: 975 A.D. married Belhoc daughter of Malcome II King of Scotland in 1000 A.D. They had two sons, (Duncan, Maldred probably King of Cumbria) Duncan became King of Scotland in 1034 A.D. married Sibyl daughter of Siward Degre Earl of Northcumberland, killed by Macbeth 14 Aug 1040. They had thee sons, (Malcome III King of Scotland, Donald Bane King of Scotland, and Melmar from whom the Earls of Atholl are directly descended.

I am interested on any help on tracing the Boyd-Robertson line back and especially finding out when the two names were first joined.

I am also just begining research on My mothers side which would be the Angerstiens and Bergers.

If You have any information on any branch of the family or any corrections please feel free to call or email me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
