| The Anton SCHUSTER family came from Moravia in what is now the Czech Republic, from the towns of Böhmisch Wiesen (now Cesky Dlouha) and Ober Heinzendorf (now Horni Hyncina). Anton was the son of Wenzel and Juliana (SCHLÖGL) SCHUSTER, born in Ober Heinzendorf. Anton (b. 1866) and his wife Cäcilia (STRANGFELD) (b. 1868) SCHUSTER had six children: Marie (b. 1892), Vincenz (b. 1895), Carl (b. 1896), Julia (b. 1898), Franz (b. 1901), and Anna (b/d. 1906). Anton and Marie came to the US on the Kronprinz Wilhelm in 1906 and settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Anton's brother Vincenz and sister Amalia (SCHUSTER) NETIK already lived. Cäcilia and the other four children came on the Kaiserin Auguste Victoria in 1907. I would like to hear from anyone with a connection to these families or these towns, and I will share information. |
