Richard Witt born in Simpson County, Ky. about 1861 the son of William and Martha Martin Witt. Married Lillie Daisy Parker in Tullahoma, Tn. July 10, 1914. Lillie was the daughter of Peter O. Parker and Mary Jane Davenport from Hadley, Michigan. MaryJane was the daughter of Samuel Davenport and granddaughter of Jesse Davenport.Richard died in Hopkinsville,Ky. March 13, 1919. Richard and Lillie had the following children. Ray, Mary Ruth and Jessie Catherine. The information I have on the Bachman and Shockley families was sent to me by Becky Uzarski. She obtained the information from her mother Joyce Pawlowski, who is the niece of Vernon Bachman and daughter of Nettie Bachman. Nettie was the child of Anna (Coria)Shockley Bachman and William Bachman. Most of the information came from a "Family Pictorial", which is similar to the records found in a family bible. Vernon Bachman is the biological father of Jeffrey Boyersmith. Jeffrey was adopted by Earl Boyersmith. Jessie Catherine Witt Krause died March 3, 2009 at the age of 90 in Charlotte, Michigan. Jessie was buried two and a half months later in a little cemetary near Buckley, Michigan. She couldn't be buried before this due to the frozen ground. I was told that when the hearse took Jessie up to the northen part of Lower Michigan the driver got lost. Poor Jessie was having a terrible time trying to get buried. She is at rest now. I recently found some more information on Juliana Krause's family. She was the wife August. Jiliana's elder sister was Anna, her younger sister was Emilie. Juliana brother was Otto. Another sister was Christel. She also had two other brother Johann and Edward. I found this information on an old photo that was made about 1910.The picture was taken in Latvia at her brother Otto's wedding to Liese. Here's the info I talked to you about earlier Gin -----Original Message----- From: Corinna Stich <[email protected]> To: Virginia Vaughan <[email protected]> Sent: Tue, Feb 7, 2012 11:28 am Subject: Aw: This was letter to Virginia Boyersmith Vaughan. So here is (at last) the promised mail. What my father told me sounded a bit complicated, so I tried to draw a family tree. Apart from this, that}s what he also told me: Our great-great grandmother Luise became a widow and married for a second time. Her husbands name was Rudolf Kublick. So Juliana and Anna had a half-sister and a half-brother. Their names were Emilie and Rudolf. One weird thing is: when Julianas brothers returned from russia, they had to translate their name back from the russian spelling and they were not sure about the correct spelling. So one brother wrote his name "Schoetzau", (in German you would replace the "oe" by a o with two dots upon it, but I don}t know if your system knows this letter) , the other one Schuetzau, (in German the "ue" replaced by a u with two dots upon it). I believe Schuetzau was correct. The other spelling rather sounds like a dialect. The Schuetzau family had their origins in West-Prussia, the Wabner family somewhere near Salzburg. In the late 19th century, they lived in Russia, in Schytomyr. The parents of August Wabner had moved there in 1870 or 1871, when Katharine the Great was tsarina. They had come to Russia as guest workers, to cut the forest. From Russia they moved first to Lithuania where my grandmother and their brothers and sisters were born, then to East Prussia. My grandmothers brother Gerd became a soldier and died in the 2nd World war, in Schidowo, near Leningrad. The other brother, Johann, was arrested by the Nazis and diappeared. Our family never found out what happened to him. The last time they had heard from him was just before the end of the war in 1945.
