Find Family

We are Andrew & Eileen Boyt and we are researching the name Boyt. We have traced our family back to Sturminster Marshall in 1749 where we have found Richard & Betty Boyet(Boyt) baptising their daughter Sarah. We have found 3 other children for this couple, William, Richard & Keziah, but these are baptised in Lytchett Matravers. The family come back to Sturminster Marshall and consequent generations are married, born and buried there.
We would love to know where Richard was baptised and married.
We have found descendants in Australia and USA and a link to New Zealand.
We are undertaking a one name study of the name Boyt and all variants and will happily accept any references to the name, so if it looks or sounds like Boyt send it along. We are quite happy to share our information and databases.
Included on this site are family trees of Eileen's family, i.e FOLKES (FOULKES)and YOUNG. If you recognise any names please get in touch.
