I am researching my family history, at this time I have found details of the marriage of my G.G.G.Grandfather George Boyn from the parish of Marnoch to Christian Gray from the parish of Banff on 18th November 1762 in Banff, Banffshire. Scotland. Their son also George was baptised 8th June 1766, and married Margaret Christie 31st Jan 1804 in Ordiquhill, Their son James was born 15th Jan 1807 in Backieley,Marnoch. He married Hellen Low 29th Dec 1838 in the parish of Forgue, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. James their son was christened on 23rd June 1841, and married my Grandmother Mary Cruickshank in the parish of Botriphnie, Banffshire, 23rd Jan 1869. Most of his working life was spent as a farm servant but for a time he was a post messenger in and around Insch Aberdeenshire, my father Francis who was born in Bankhead Forgue 7th Mar 1886 was 8th of 10 chidren. His father died in 1890, both my father and my aunt Jean served in the 1914 1918 great war and he saw service in Salonica and Serbia as a motor driver attached to an anti aircraft unit.He married Jessie Morrison my mother 9th April 1920 in Botriphnie and moved to Aberdeen where they had 4 children of whom I am the youngest.
