Obituary from The Houston Herald: James Clayhorn Lingo, son of William Edman and Mary Ellen (Carr) Lingo, was born in Roby, Texas Co, Missouri on August 31, 1898 and died September 26, 1960, making his age 62 years and 25 days.On November 26, 1926, he was married to Margaret Elizabeth Sudheimer, and to this union four children were born:Mabel Steward of Plato, Missouri; James Lingo Jr of Maples, Missouri;Norman E. Lingo of the U S Navy, and Nadine Sigman of Bremerton, Washington.
Jim, as he was known to his friends and family, grew to manhood and spent his entire life in Missouri, and at the time of his death was living on his farm northeast of Roby.His wife, Margaret, died October 6, 1956.Also preceeding him in death were his parents and five sisters.
