Maria is buried in Birch Grove Cemetery. "Maria A (Bunker) wife of Alden U Robertson died Jan 30 1906 AE 47 years 6 months 22 days." To the left of Maria is Alden U. Robertson died Dec 15, 1927 AE 76 years 1 month 27 days. There are 4-5 other Robertsons there. To Maria's right is Sgt. Ralph E son of Alden U and Maria A Robertson died in France Feb 2, 1918, AE 26 years 1 month 26 days.
Cemetery is located in East? Sullivan on Tunk Lake Road 1-2 miles from Rt. 1 It is on right side behind a yellow house (Bunker name on mailbox July 1998) with a large tree about 50 yards prior to the house and a bend in the road after the house. There was a trailer home directly across the street from the large tree. Beside the tree there is an almost indiscernible grass covered road that leads from Tunk Lake Road up into the woods beside the Bunker house and to the cemetery (not visible from the road).
Also buried in Birch Grove cemetery, are some Sperry's. In back right corner there is a stone with two names on it: Horace P drowned Oct 17, 1872 AE 27 years 7 months 17 days and Mary L died May 8, 1864 AE 14 years 11 months 25 days, children of Ransom and Emily S. Sperry. (Ransom and Emily are Maria's mother and father, Elliott's Grandfather and Grandmother).
Behind the Robertson tombstones are more Robertson's: Aaron Robertson died Oct 31, 1881 AE 79 years 1 month 7 days, to the right of that is Rhoda wife of Aaron Robertson died Feb 8, 1886 AE 76 years, to right of that is a small stone with only the initials 'RAH' on it, to right of that is a stone with 'Climena daughter of Aaron and Rhoda Robertson died Oct 2 1857 AE 11 years', to right of that is another small stone with no visible markings.
To the left of Alden U Robertson is Nanoy G. wife of David Robertson who died Jul 8 1886 AE 73 years 10 months, to left of her stone is David Robertson who died Nov 19, 1875 AE 64 years 3 months 24 days.
Ransom Sperry shares a tombstone with his wife Emily S. Inscription says Ransom Sperry died Oct 5, 1885 AE 67 years 20 days Emily S his wife died Dec 27, 1876 AE 64 years 11 months 14 days. Gone but not forgotten.
In Birch Grove Cemetery there are several other Bunkers buried which we did not take pictures of including: Gillman Bunker, Elmer Bunker, Olive J Bunker, Barney Bunker, Nathan Bunker and a number of others.
