"Chas. E. Bradbury Well Known Citizen For many Years In Trucking Business
The death of Charles E Bradbury 69, occurred Sunday at his home 52 Curve Street. He had been in impaired health for a long time. He was born in hermon but lived in Bangor nearly all his life.
He had been in the general trucking business for the past 45 years at one time having 48 men in his employ and 20 at the time of his death. He was most highly regarded by all who knew him for high integrity, an able business man and a good citizen in every way.
Besides his business he had considerable holdings in real estate, He was a member of the Coulubia Street Baptist Church and of the Order of the Golden Cross.
His wife, Mrs Georgia M Bradbury died recently. Surviving are his son Fred C Bradbury and his daughter Mrs Annie Silke; the gransons, Charles E of Brewer, Fred C, Jr. of Bangor and granddaughter, Thelma M Silke. Mrs Dorothy Chase Tower of New Haven Conn and Theodore Chase of Hampden were brought up in the family.
Funeral services will be at the late residence 52 Curve Street Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock"
