John Perkins (son of Henry Perkins and Elizabeth Sawbridge)^{2132, 2133, 2134, 2135} was born Abt. December 23, 1583 in Hillmorton Co., Warwick, England²¹³⁶, and died Bet. March 28 - September 26, 1654 in Ipswich, MA²¹³⁶. He married Judith Gater on October 09, 1608²¹³⁶, daughter of Michael Gater and Isabel Baylie.

Notes for John Perkins:
Early settler of Ipswich Mass., came on Ship Lion with five of his children. John and Judith Perkins were early settlers of Ipswich Mass. They embarked at Bristol with his family on board the ship Lion (or Lyon), Capt. William Pearce, master, in 1631, Roger Williams being a fellow passenger. After a stormy voyage of 67 days, during which one seaman was lost, arrived in Boston 5 Feb 1630/1631. Settled in Ipswich in 1633.
