1. ROBERT JOSEPH² BRAGG (ROBERT EUGENE¹) was born July 31, 1873 in TN, and died October 01, 1936 in Tipton County TN; chronic heart disease. He married (1) OCEOLA MORGAN Abt. 1902, daughter of WILLIAM MORGAN and MARY JONES. She was born March 07, 1881 in Tipton Co TN, and died Aft. 1920. He married (2) LOLA MAE NEWMAN February 13, 1926 in Ripley, TN, daughter of JAMES NEWMAN and FLORENCE MORGAN. She was born 1905 in TN, and died April 14, 1938 in Brownsville TN; died in childbirth.

Buddy Bragg, age 24, appears in the 1900 census. He is listed as a hired laborer, working for John Myres, age 73. In the same census, page 269A, is Buddy's mother, Eliza, age 48, listed as widowed. On page 274B, William S. Morgan and his family appear. Buddy will marry William's youngest daughter, Oceola (Ola) sometime prior to 1904.

R.J. Bragg and wife Ola appear in the 1920 Tipton Co. census. R.J. is listed as 47, Ola is 37. Three children are listed: Willie Clifton, age 15; Eunice, age 10; Beula, age 8. All members of the household were born in Tennessee and all are able to read and write. This census information was supplied by Quintin Bradshaw, who notes that his maternal grandparents, George Larimore and Catherine Isabelle Murrin Larimore, are listed just above the entry for the Braggs. Ola Morgan Bragg was a sister to Quintin's paternal grandmother.

The Friday, Dec. 24, 1926 edition of the Lauderdale Co. Enterprise contained this item:
Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Bragg spent Sunday with his son, Mr. Willie Bragg, at the Walker farm.

Obituary:
R.J. Bragg, 60, of near the Bowden Schoolhouse Community died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, October 1st. Funeral service was conducted at family residence Friday morning by Rev. J.H. Turner of the Oak Grove and Liberty Baptist Church. Interment occurring in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Surviving are the widow and several children.
