All BRASWELL, GILL, BLACKMON, HATFIELD, HINSON AND MCDANIEL CLANS---If you have any connection to these surnames and roots in the state of Bama, check this personal page out, it contains a lot of those kin folks and we may be related. The area of Alabama covered is the southeast section, Eufaula, Barbour Co.(especially around the Cotton Hill area) Alabama and Georgetown, Quitman Co., Georgia. I am looking for the connection of my gggrandfather to the BRASWELL LINE out of Isle of Wright, Va through Georgia, Upson Co., to the little corner of Alabama, where my family thrived and raised their families. My gggrandfather's father was born in North Carolina and his mother in Georgia----that is all I have been able to find out, but I am only a novice at this, about 2 years now and have obtained a lot of information---check out my family tree and reports to see if you connect. The GILL line is on my mother's side, the only information I have about my ggrandfather on her side, is that he was born in New York and his name was David Gill, looking for his parents--we are said to Scott-Irish origin---My mother had the red hair of a Scottish Lass and the temper of an Irishman, but was the sweetest person in this world. The GILL line is from southeast Alabama, Dale Co. area---would like to hear from the GILL kinfolk--

Jesse R. Braswell is my gggrandfather on my father's side and David Gill is my gggrandfather on my mother's side----

The Hinson side of my family is due to the fact that my mother first married Floyd Hinson, who died at a very young age. I would like to thank Leon Hinson, who with his help and the vast information that he had obtained over the years, I was able to make corrections to and add more branches to the Hinson tree.
