Clarence P. Brammer, 88, of Marion passed away Sunday, October 14 at his residence. Born April 28, 1913 in Lawrence County, Ohio to Sherman and Adeline (Anshutz) Brammer. On April 21, 1935 he married Hazel George in Marion, Ohio. They were married 59 years when his wife passed away in October, 1994. Mr. Brammer will be remembered by many for his auto repair business at his Scranton Avenue home that he ran until he retired in 1978. He was also an avid golfer and a fifty plus years member of Masonic So Journers Lodge No 653 F & Am. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Gail) Miller, and five sons; Lonnie (Pamela) Brammer, Ralph (Sherry) Brammer, Perry (Sue) Brammer, Steven (Kathy) Brammer, all of Marion, and Herbert (Connie) Brammer of Indiana, three sisters; Mary James, Myrel Crabtree and Minnie Stanley. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by son ,Vernon Brammer, grandson David Brammer, brothers; William and Homer Brammer and sisters Virginia Cuykendall and Grace Dexter. Services will be at Boyd Funeral Home, with calling hours on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with Masonic Services held immediately following. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Kiger officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Quality of Life Hospice.
