Hello Ellen and Darlene,
Hope this finds you both well and happy.
We haven't spoken in a
while! I have moved and also am back from my
Missouri Reunion. I
had a great reunion. I knew that you would want to
know that I got a
good look at Mary Orlena Spradling's Bible. William R.
Spradling is
confirmed without a doubt to be William KNIGHT Spradling in her
Bible.
The cursive "K" looks like an "R" on the old census writing. She
actually spelled her father's name in full in her bible. She also
named her
first born child John Knight Nobles. Ten people are listed
in pencil in the
old worn Bible along with important Bible verses.
Ellen, When I moved I
lost the copy of William K. Spradling's photo.
If you still have it in your
computer I would dearly love to have it
again. My new computer can put
photo's on CD's.
Take
care,
George
I hope this helps, it was a real treasure to hold.
Well,
here is what I held in my hand:
Holy Bible (on cover in cursive writing nicely
embossed)
