| Goin' up home...what we always called the trip to see our family in LaSalle County, Illinois. We were going home, where my parents were born and raised. This page is for the memories of our time spent with family and those that have passed. I am researching the Bray, Martyn, Batty, Meyer, Bennett, Pearce, Heismeyer, Trathen, and Hazelhurst families. Meyer and Heismeyer came from Holtzminden and Schwanberg, Germany in mid-1850's. Batty from Northumberland in 1830,40's and the rest from Devon and Cornwall, England in late 1700's and early 1800's. I owe my success to date to the LaSalle County Genealogy Guild. My sincerest thanks to Jim Collins, Dorothy Maynard, Jenan Jobst, Margaret Clemens and Bob Jordan.
