| This branch of the Brendel family arrived from Germany (Poland/Russia) around 1900. Four Brothers arrived at different times. Louis supposedly returned to Germany and no other info has been found. Fred supposedly settled in New Jersey, but no further information has been found Gottlieb settled in Muscatine, IA and much of this branch has been traced. Martin arrived in New Jersey, then migrated to Pennsylvania, Muscatine,IA, and then finally settled in Detroit,MI. Most of this branch has also been plotted. On the Straight side... Jacob Straight lived in W VA in the 1700's and was killed by Indians His roots are unknown. Subsequent generations have lived in Chicago, and Detroit. Names being researched include...
