* Brennans, Cassidys and Associated Families*

Updated October 29, 2008

This is the genealogy page of the Cassidy/Brennans whose roots span the four provinces of Ireland. Some emigrated to England, Scotland and even further a field. A good many remained in Ireland and this is a record of their lives.

Throughout the nineteeth century a large percentage of these people worked in the textile industries both in Scotland and Ireland. Some escaped the factory environment and among them were carpenters, grocers, nurses, civil servants, publicans, office workers, teachers, soldiers, sailors and even entertainers.

The information on these pages is authentic and to the best of my knowledge as accurate as possible. This large database has been sourced from family stories, census returns, poor relief records, newspaper articles, playbills, parish registers, civil birth, death and marriages records.

I also have another site at http://briby.tripod.com which digs a little deeper into the lives of certain members of the family as well as containing pages on genealogy in general and my other interests. Please feel free to contact me if you feel you may be related, there is anything you would like to add, you see any errors in my data, you object in any way about any of the information or you have any questions regarding the content of either of these sites.
