Isabella Green Spry was the grandmother of Dr. John Campbell Brewer (1847-1920). She was born on August 18, 1799, in Sumter District, South Carolina. On March 28, 1816, she married John R. Brewer (1792-1822) in Sumter County, South Carolina. Isabella died in Mount Meigs, Montgomery County, Alabama, on January 2, 1875, at the home of her only son, Reuben Henry Brewer (1819-1881).
