Difficult to comprehend but this is Loris Jr. in December 1944. Having recently returned to the USA from France in the European Theater of Operations, he was soon (unbeknownst to him) to be on his merry way to an island paradise in the Pacific Theater of Operations known as Okinawa. This is another little piece of the puzzle that our grand children and g-grand children may find difficult to believe. Shucks, I sometimes have a tough time buying in on it myself!
