August 1975. The Commanding Officer of the Naval Service School Command in San Diego conducts the swearing in ceremony for Naval Preparatory School graduates, readying them for further studies under the Naval Enlisted Scientific Education Program. David Joseph Brewer AE2, USN, is shown standing second from the right in the front row. He was subsequently assigned to the University of Idaho to continue pursuit of a degree as Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Graduating from the University in May 1978, David soon thereafter received his commission as an Ensign in the United States Navy.
