My primary effort at this moment is to find information about my great great grandfather Charles Garner.
This is the family I know:
Charles Garner married Rosa Ann Tucker. They were married June 23, 1892 in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio. Rosa was born 9/16/1872 and died 10/3/1919 both in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio.
Charles and Rosa had two daughters:
1. Emma Mae Garner, born January 2,1893 in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio.
2. Florence Charlean Garner, born August 8,1897 place unknown.
From his marriage certificate I have ascertained that Charles was born before 1871. His daughter Charlean's death certificate states her father was born in Ohio.
Charles died in 1897, probably July. Charlean's obituary in 1926 states "The father of Miss Garner died about ten days before her birth".
I have searched for information on Charles' death in Athens County, Ohio and have found nothing. No death certificate, no newspaper notice and no burial record in the cemetery (Greenlawn) where his wife, daughter and in-laws are laid to rest.
Isn't someone else out there related to Charles? He had to have parents and hopefully brothers and sisters. Please help me find my great great grandfather who vanished without a trace.
