I am researching my husband's ancestors the BRHELY family originally from Bohemia (Czechoslavakia). They immigrated to the U.S. around the late 1800s. I believe they originally arrived in New York, and then ended up in the Wisconsin area. I am also researching the other lines of ancestors from my husband's family, and they are: "Panfil" from Poland, came to U.S. in the early 1900s. The "Fenlon" and "Mahoney" families from Ireland. The "LeClerc" and "St.Onge" families from France to Canada and then to Michigan.
In addition, I am also researching two lines of my own family, the BOYKIN and BULLARD families. My Grandfather was Paul Cleveland Boykin, born in Mississippi in 1890. My Grandfather never talked too much about his childhood, but from what I have been told by other members of the family, he was on his own from the age of 13 due to running away from his Uncle and his Uncle's Plantation. His Uncle's Plantation was thought to be in Texas? He then traveled to Arkansas and Oklahoma, married twice; first wife, Centhie Colley Tillman, died in her early 20s. They had two children Resser, who died two weeks after her mother, and Pauline who was approximately 2 years old when she lost her mother and sister. He then married my Grandmother, Lola Bell Bullard in 1916. They lived in Oklahoma, near Checotah for many years and had approximately 12 children, and then migrated to Northern California in the late 1940s. I would just like to find out what happened to my Grandfather, as to what led up to his running away at the age of 13 and what happened to his parents. His father's name was John Boykin and I have no idea what his mother's name was.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
