Find Family

My BRITNELL line has been traced back to around 1735 in Fairfield District, South Carolina. Branches of this family can be found in SC, TN, AL, MS, and TX. Franklin County, AL is home to this day of a large number of BRITNELL family members. My great grandfather moved later to Texas with his second wife and 4 sons, 2 from each marriage.
My mother's family, the STRINGERs, has been traced to Elizabeth City County, VA, to my 7th great grandfather, Daniel Stringer, born about 1661. This family followed the common migration route: VA to NC, south to GA, then to MS, and then by wagon train to San Augustine County, Texas around 1846. STRINGERs from this line can be found in VA, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, MO, KY, AR, FL, LA, TX, and other places.
I have experienced problems when linking reports from my data files at this location, so I have removed those links. I apologize for any inconvenience; I am in the process of moving all my genealogy data to a private website. This page will be closed shortly.
