Autry which I found in Bill Moyer's The Language of Love that includes the line "You are in these hills who you were and who you will become and not just who you are".The poem ends "Through it all communities new and old watch and judge and make sure the names are in order and everyone understands". BASLER, BRINKMAN, BRYAN, FRANKLIN, GIST, HANSEN, JOHANSEN, JOHNSEN, LAURSEN, ORMSBY, STACY Although I am researching all of the above names, my primary focus right now is is BRINKMAN, BRYAN, JOHANSEN, and STACY. Specifically: ANY connection to JOHN DECATUR STACY born 1858 in West Point, Lowndes County, Mississippi THOMAS BRYAN married to LUCY ORMSBY (circa 1850)of Tennessee, possibly Fayette or Madison County NIELSINE MARIE JOHANSEN born 1878 in Sonder Tarp, Lunde Sogn, Jutland, Denmark; immigrated to US in 1901 with Ingvard Jessen; worked on farm in Black Hawk County,Iowa; met and married JENS CLAUSEN BRINKMAN 1902 in Iowa; later homesteaded in Dagmar, Montana. JENS CLAUSEN BRINKMAN, born 1875 in Toftlund, Denmark (then Germany); Jens' father was CARL ERNST BRINKMAN born in Lippe Det Mold, Germany I am more than happy to share all information I have so if you think we have some common research interests, let me hear from you. |
