| The family of John BRITTEN, Revolutionary War Soldier born 1758, in New Jersey or New York. He married Hannah Lott and settled first in Onondaga and then in Steuben Co, New York where he died in 1834. Following his death, a brother as well as several sons and daughters moved west and settled in Michigan, principally in Eaton, Hillsdale, Lenawee, Wayne, and Livingston Counties. This page primarily tells the story of the Brittens of Michigan and our many allied families, including the following surnames: BRITTEN, VANBUSKIRK, SNYDER, LOTT, BOWEN, HUDSON, SHORES, MCCOY, TAYLOR and many more including the FULLERs and WINSLOWs of the Mayflower. My family history file contains over 3,500 individuals, many of which are accessible on this web site. Please feel free to contact me with any additions or corrections, as well as inquiries. |
